Artiste Profile: Richee the ‘KELEGBE’ Crooner

Born Demechi Richwell Chucks several decades ago and stage named RICHEE, he hails from Ndokwa Local government area of Delta state tho he doesn’t look the part perhaps due to the fact that he was born, raised and lived practically his entire life in Lagos City.

Contrary to belief and spreading rumour, he has been in the industry for well over a decade. He has dropped a few singles over this time span due to his meticulous and careful lifestyle which definitely does so much to influence his

type and choice of music Vis a Vis the delivery and messages contained in his few songs so far.

His debut single titled “BABA TI SE” ft OJB JEZREEL was dropped way back in 2006 and it was closely followed with

“YOU DON SPOIL” which was dropped sometime in 2007, the video was shot and directed by Ehiz Ojeshebolo of Nantoons Studios (now CEROMS Media) assisted by Kuti Olutola Adedeji (now Creative director of theDISTRICmedia).

He recently released two songs titled “Bamidele” and “KELEGBE” which are currently enjoying airplay on radio and TV stations across the nation. The video for “BAMIDELE” was shot and directed in London by Press Play Views while

FRIZZLE shot and directed the video for “KELEGBE” starring Kaffi the dance queen here in Lagos, Nigeria.

RICHEE is definitely determined to dazzle and wow fans across the globe as he is set to release a few more promising hit tracks in a short while featuring some of the current rave making artistes and personel in the Nigerian and global entertainment industry.
