Mr Eazi has set the records straight on his business relationship with Wizkid.
Recall that at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Accra, Ghana, Wizkid won the African Artiste of the Year, beating his counterparts in the continent.
Shortly after, he announced the launch of his first international record label, Star Boy Worldwide Music label. He also revealed a line up of artistes which includes Ghana’s Efya, R2Bees(made up of Faisal Hakeem and Rashid Mugeez), Mr Eazi and himself.
“We are planning to take over Africa,” he told the audience at the event.

The news caused quite a frenzy on social media as folks assumed that the artistes signed a 360 deal with the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer’s personal label, ‘Star Boy Records’.
But that’s not what the deal is about.
Speaking with Ghana FM station, Mr Eazi clarified that what they have is actually a business deal called ‘Star Boy Worldwide’, in which they are all partners, for the sole purpose of promoting their music abroad.
“Star Boy Worldwide is a collective organisation specifically to push African music worldwide,” he said. “What it means is that we are in business together. Everybody is in business together.
“I feel like I am the one getting the most because, all these guys put out a platform that is serious. So, when I get into a meeting and say ‘Star Boy Worldwide’, they will say, ‘oh, Wizkid, Efya..for this guys to be in the same platform..“, he continued, before adding, “We are all partners.”
