Chairmen of the state chapters of the All Progressive Congress on Wednesday met with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to discuss certain issues including the prolonged absence of President Muhammadu Buhari and the state of the nation.
While briefing newsmen at the end of the meeting, chairman of the Lagos state chapter of APC, Mr Henry Ajomale who led the delegation, said the meeting discussed Buhari’s health and solutions to Nigeria’s many challenges.
Ajomale stressed that the APC government had the vision of improving the lives of Nigerian citizens and that the state chairmen were therefore concerned about the state of the economy.
The Lagos APC chairman who said that his delegation was grateful to God for the improvement in the health of President Buhari also commended the administration for its anti-corruption efforts.
Speaking further on the interaction with Osinbajo, Ajomale said, “he was able to brief us on the situation in the country, the economy and the solution and antidotes to some of the mirage of problems that is facing this country.
“We are very impressed with the situation, we will go back to our states and let the people know that the government has very good intention and we should be part and parcel of the government in order to ensure that the poor people of this country are getting better deal.”
Vanguard reports that Hon Ali Bukar Dalori, the deputy chairman of the APC states chairmen forum and other members of the forum attended the meeting with the acting president who they described as a great member of the party.
